honestly... I don't understand

Thu Dec 24, 2009, 1:03 AM
Well,
these are my last thoughts for 2009. Honestly I don't like journals, I mean, there are few things to say abut my art progress since I seldom draw or even realize photoshop bullshits but it's my own problem and I won't annoy you with it. The second reason is that journal could be your nest for expressing your self pity and your misery about the world of art and your personal troubles. So writing a note, and I speak for myself, could be a danger like alchool or drugs: you write about how peple think your art sucks or about your lack of inspiration and you start to complain over and over.
So I am aware this note gonna be dangerous for me.
Anyway, after this intro, I will talk you about another misaventure of mine in the art world.
I sent the link of my gallery to an art site (I think it's amateur, not pro) for submissions. There are a lot of people doing my same genre, so I thought WTF it's my home.
Well this morning I receive their kind email and they say "thanks but no thanks". Ok, got it, they think I suck and it's ok, because a lot of people think so and I am not offended. Then I surf here on DA and I see that my gallery has not being visited. I mean, how the fuck you can decide to say "no, not you" and kindly answer. I honestly prefer if they say "we saw your gallery and this sucks" ok, I am a sportsman I can bear the pain of defeat. But what the fuck, they answered me... and they did not watch my stuff, they maybe saw the "stamp like" preview. I should feel better but I still not understand.
Experts say "you suck" since I was 14 and without explanation. I continue to see sites and galleries featuring people drawing women that suck horses' dick (yes I am not joking) and they say "beautiful underground art", then I send my stuff and the answer is always the same or no answer at all.
I am not complaining. I am not a crybaby, but I really would like to know where am I wrong?

my shit for sale here.

I doubt anyone can be really interested to have my shit on the wall of his\her house, but still, (this is for you my male friends) if you put my art in your bedroom you can watch it while having sex and it could be useful for longer sex without thinking about dead kittens or a 90 years old naked lady.

"Giorgio Borroni takes the comic books he enjoyed as a boy, as well as his own imaginings concerning futuristic technology, and develops them into original mixed media pieces exploring our fascination with and fear of what we can create. His work showcases and reinterprets a sensibility which we have become familiar over the years through the artistic media of video games, sci fi books and movies, etc to look into (among other themes) how we can simultaneously love and lament our increasingly technological world. That aspect of Borroni’s work reminds me of the professor Phaedrus’ work to reconcile the romantic and engineering-minded scientific ways of thought in Robert Pirsig’s Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance (one of my longtime personal favorite books.)"
